The short answer
Is Nordnorsk Kunstmuseum worth visiting?
Yes, if one of the current exhibitions catches your interest. This is a useful indoor stop near the harbour, with a programme that brings northern perspectives into contemporary art. Since the exhibitions change, the live programme matters more than a generic promise about what you will see.
For Tromsø photography and city history in an old wooden house, choose Perspektivet Museum. For polar expeditions and trapping, the Polar Museum is the more direct fit.
